Shock Thai

I remember how naive I was before going to Thailand. First, I knew nothing, then the kitchen south-east Asia and Thailand has not caught on in Japan or the United States. I was protected by an exchange student in Japan, ready for a real adventure. The ultimate goal was the island of Koh Samui (the slogan of the forum, not what they used to, but it's still worth it). The motto probably lasted 30 years before backpacker last hope had to admit, is now the Club Med beachBeach.

However, I have many things on this island, and I took a nice and big and bright green tropical fish that we had for dinner. I discovered the durian Mecca of Southeast Asia in the village of Surat in May, I pursued and killed by a stone, a chicken curry that we did, and I went to the fanciest seafood restaurant in my life.

But this story is not about Koh Samui and the boat famous night in Surat Thani. It 's more about Bangkok. You see, I clearlyremember us as a bunch of ignorant college kids in Hong Kong the night before we were going to Bangkok. We were in an outdoor food market / restaurant and all the glasses, rods, plates were, well, just dirty and unhygienic. Since the concrete was below our feet. Everything smelled too.

One of the friends said knowingly, just wait until we know Thailand. She is not seen nothing yet! It 'was very anti-climatic to say that he though. Bangkok (twentyYears, mind you) was really poor, dirty and crowded, it was also very clean, colorful, and people were energetic and happy. Buddha had been smiling at each corner, and all. I fell in love in a world that has had a deep desire of my subconscious I. The only problem was that it was February and it was hot! I remember when I was almost there, lying unconscious in a temple of middle-aged macho comes to me and told me with pride, my hot country! That voice still echoes in mySpirit as he grew older.
